WHY WE BUILT FINDMYPERSON
We thought online dating could be better.
Modern dating has made it easier to meet more people, but it can also put too much emphasis on quick swipes, first impressions and restrictive ways of communicating.
We wanted to build something that gives people more room to show who they really are — their interests, lifestyle, personality, values and what they hope to find in another person.
That means profiles worth reading and matching that can look beyond a photograph.

Then an opportunity appeared.
With FindSomeone closing, we saw an opportunity to do more than simply replace what was ending. We could take the parts people value in a traditional dating site and rethink the experience around New Zealanders today.
FindMyPerson is being designed as an independent, easy-to-use matching service with richer profiles and better ways to discover people whose lives, interests and relationship goals may genuinely fit yours.
